You’re not starting with engineers who need to learn the AdTech domain. You’re getting specialists who already know the standards, systems, and constraints your project works with. That’s something generalist staffing doesn’t give you by default.

Which Engagement Model Fits Your Needs

Staff AugmentationDedicated TeamFull Project Team/ Outsourcing
What it isIndividual engineers embedded in your existing teamA standalone team with its own lead, working to your roadmapEnd-to-end delivery of a defined scope
Best whenYou have a working team and a specific capability or capacity gapYou need a new product line or R&D function without in-house hiringYou have a project in mind but no internal engineering team to build it
You manageThe engineers directly, as part of your existing teamPriorities and outcomes. Our team lead manages day-to-day deliveryScope and acceptance. We handle the rest of the project
Typical size1 to 5+ engineers4 to 15+ specialistsVaries by scope
Engagement lengthFlexible based on project needsTypically longer-term, tailored to your needsProject-based
Also involvesYour process, your standardsA delivery manager and QA on our endA PM, BA, architect, and QA on our end
In our experience, teams often start with staff augmentation and move to a dedicated team as the project grows.
You can switch between models later without starting a new engagement from scratch.

Four Steps From Initial Discussion to Onboarding

Step 1
Requirements call (30–45 minutes)

We discuss the stack, seniority, time-zone overlap, and project needs. An AdTech specialist joins from our side to discuss the technical requirements.

Step 2
CVs within 3–5 business days

You get pre-vetted profiles of engineers that match your requirements, including the AdTech systems each engineer has worked on.

Step 3
You interview and decide

Your team interviews the candidates through its usual process, including technical interviews, live coding, or take-home tasks. You then choose the candidate. If the fit isn’t right, we send more profiles.

Step 4
Onboarding in 1–2 weeks

We finalize contracts, NDAs, and IP assignment and set up access. The engineer then joins your standups and works in your repo and tracking tools.

80+ AdTech Developers Building the Ad Stack and Client Apps for a FAST Service
Challenge

The client needed AdTech developers with OTT video and playout experience to support the growth of a free ad-supported streaming service.

Team

Three AdTech developers joined the client’s platform team in 2017. Nine years later, Geomotiv has staffed 80+ full-stack specialists.

Our work

Geomotiv’s engineers work across the CMS, TV scheduling, transcoding, and playout, as well as the ad stack and mediation layer that monetizes the streams.

Key results

The viewership base grew 10x. The platform now brings FAST channels to viewers across three continents, while its monetization system handles hundreds of thousands of requests per second at peak loads.

Delivery of a Video SSP that Increased Client’s Programmatic Revenue by 22%
Challenge

Increasing traffic exposed the limits of the publisher’s legacy ad server. The project required developers with hands-on programmatic expertise to engineer a high-performance SSP.

Solution

A dedicated AdTech team built the SSP MVP and expanded it as traffic and demand sources grew.

Our work

The engineers built the inventory manager and OpenRTB auction layer, connected Magnite, Xandr, Smaato, and PubMatic, and added an auction dashboard for real-time bidding metrics.

Key results

Fill rates rose 18% and programmatic revenue increased 22% within three months. During periods of high traffic, the SSP processes hundreds of thousands of bid requests every second.

4-Month Development of an SSAI MVP for CTV Advertising
Challenge

Adoppler wanted to add server-side ad insertion to its CTV platform and validate the concept before committing to full-scale development.

Solution

Geomotiv assembled an AdTech engineering team to build the SSAI MVP and integrate it with Adoppler’s existing ad server.

Our work

Over four months, the engineers built an SSAI ad server for ad selection, timeline generation, personalization, and tracking, along with a video processing component that stitches ads into HLS streams.

Key results

The team delivered a working SSAI prototype that runs across web, mobile, and CTV platforms and bypasses ad blockers by stitching ads directly into the stream.

How We Operate

Time zones and locations

Geomotiv’s engineering hubs are in Lisbon, Yerevan, and Dubai. Our US business team is based in Alexandria, VA. European clients work with our engineers on the same clock. For US clients, we set shifted hours per engineer before the engagement starts.

Contracts and IP

Geomotiv assigns all work products and IP to you on delivery. We sign NDAs before any technical discussion. Our standard contract structure combines an MSA with a separate SOW for each engagement.

Security and process

ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 27001 certifications support our quality and information security practices. Our engineers work through your systems and follow your access policies for project environments. We comply with GDPR requirements when working with project data.

Flexible terms

You can add or release engineers with 30 days’ notice. Changes to team size do not require you to renegotiate the master agreement.

What Our Clients Say

Before implementing the auction platform, we had to conduct all communication manually, including numerous emails, spreadsheets, and phone calls. We tried various software before realizing the necessity of an auction management platform.

Need Help? We’ve Got You Covered!

How fast can you provide AdTech developers?

You’ll receive CVs within 3–5 business days of the requirements call. In most cases, engineers can start within 2–3 weeks of the initial request, depending on how quickly your team schedules interviews.

Can we interview candidates before they join?

Yes, and we recommend it. You can use the same technical interview process you normally follow. We only place engineers you have approved.

Do your engineers actually have OpenRTB and Prebid experience, or just general backend skills?

Both. The profiles we send list the specific AdTech systems the engineer has worked with, such as bidders, ad servers, SSPs, DSPs, header bidding integrations, SSAI, and reporting pipelines. If you need someone who has debugged a VAST wrapper chain or tuned bid response latency, let us know. We’ll look for that experience specifically.

What happens if an engineer isn't the right fit?

We can replace the engineer if the match isn’t right. The timing depends on the engagement model. With a dedicated team, for instance, you can assess the team during an initial 2–3 month trial period. We provide a replacement and arrange knowledge transfer when needed.

What are your rates?

Rates depend on the role, seniority, and specific project requirements. We provide a quote after the requirements call. Our rates sit below the cost of in-house development in the US and Western Europe and above generic offshore staffing, reflecting the AdTech experience our engineers bring.

What's the minimum engagement?

There’s no fixed minimum. We adjust the engagement to your needs, whether you need one engineer or a larger team, for a short-term task or a longer project. We’re open to discussing the scope and terms that make sense for your project.

Who owns the code and IP?

You do. IP assignment is part of our standard contract and is signed before work begins.

Which time zones do you cover?

Our Lisbon engineering hub is five hours ahead of US Eastern Time. East Coast clients get four hours of working-day overlap in the morning. Clients farther west or those who need a wider overlap can work with engineers on flexible schedules agreed before the engagement starts.

Can you scale a team up or down mid-project?

Yes. You can add or release engineers with 30 days’ notice in either direction, without amending the master agreement.

Can your engineers take over an existing codebase?

Yes, our engineers regularly work with inherited systems, including legacy ad servers, undocumented bidders, and reporting stacks built by previous teams. We usually start with a short assessment phase, then agree on a delivery timeline.

Do you provide individual specialists or only full teams?

Geomotiv provides both individual AdTech developers and full-cycle teams. We start with your requirements and recommend the engagement model and team composition that match them. You can start with a single AdTech developer or bring together a full team of developers, BAs, QA engineers, architects, and other specialists.
