I'm Sergio. I've been building engineering teams since 2010 — and I still take the first conversation personally.

Product engineering and AI development — the domains I know well enough to tell you in one call whether we’re the right fit.

Why I Take These Conversations Myself

Most vendor conversations start with someone whose job is to book the next meeting. I’ve never liked that model, and I’ve never run my company that way.

I’ve spent fifteen years watching engineering teams succeed and fail in large-scale platform work. That pattern recognition is the most useful thing I own. It’s worth more to you in a first conversation than any deck I could send.

Sergio

“After that, you work with the people who do delivery better than I do. But the first judgment call is mine, and I’d rather make it with you than about you.”

Where I Can Help

Engineering teams,
embedded in yours

You need senior engineers who work inside your process, your standards, and your timezone — not a black-box vendor sending status reports. We staff from our delivery centers: overlapping hours with both US and European teams, no visa dependency, EU data residency where it matters.

Pluto TV — we grew from 3 embedded engineers to 100+, building FAST infrastructure and the ad stack alongside their internal teams.

Product engineering,
end to end

Discovery, architecture, build, and the long unglamorous part where a product has to keep running under load. We’ve done this in AdTech, FinTech, eCommerce, and EdTech — including as an operator, not just a vendor: we build and run our own LMS and ERP platforms.

MediaMath — engineering work that contributed to a 30% revenue increase.

AdTech and CTV,
at real scale

This is the domain where our depth is hardest to replicate. Bidding, latency budgets, and throughput at volumes where architectural mistakes get expensive fast.

DSP rebuild — auction latency cut from 150ms to 20ms, at 200K queries per second.

What the First Call Looks Like

Thirty minutes. No deck, no discovery questionnaire, no second call before you get an answer.

You describe what you’re trying to build or which roles you can’t fill. I ask enough to understand the shape of it. Then I tell you one of three things:

1
We've done this before.

I’ll tell you how we’d approach it, roughly what a team looks like, and roughly what it costs.

2
We could do this, but we'd be learning.

I’ll say so, and you decide whether that’s acceptable.

3
This isn't for us.

It happens. When I can, I’ll point you toward someone better suited.

Where to Meet Me in Person

A video call is fine. A conversation over coffee at a conference is better.

Attending one of these? Let me know and we’ll find twenty minutes:

Just Ask Me

Send me the question you’d ask on that call. I read and answer these myself, usually within two business days.
