Diversity And Inclusion Policy
1. Purpose and Scope
At Geomotiv, we understand that cultivating a diverse and inclusive workplace is crucial for driving innovation, enhancing employee satisfaction, and boosting overall productivity. Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) are core elements of our company culture, shaping how we collaborate, serve our clients, and advance as a team.
Our DEI policy defines the key principles and commitments that enable us to maintain a welcoming environment where everyone, regardless of their background, can contribute meaningfully. We recognize that building a diverse and inclusive workplace goes beyond mere compliance; it’s about fostering a culture where individuals feel valued, respected, and empowered to reach their full potential. This policy is applicable at every level of our organization and outlines concrete goals and initiatives to promote DEI across all aspects of our business.
2. Commitment to Gender Equality
At Geomotiv, we are dedicated to achieving gender balance across all levels of the organization, from entry-level roles to senior management. Our leadership team reflects this commitment, with four men and three women in top decision-making positions, showing our progress toward gender parity in leadership. However, we recognize there is more work to be done in other areas, particularly within our technical departments. The current gender representation—119 male technicians compared to 14 female technicians—highlights the need for a more focused gender diversity strategy in these fields.
To address this disparity, Geomotiv is committed to implementing targeted recruitment initiatives aimed at attracting more women into technical roles. We will collaborate with organizations that promote women in technology, offering mentorship programs to support their career development. Additionally, we will ensure our hiring practices remain unbiased by conducting regular audits of job descriptions to guarantee the use of inclusive language and by using structured interviews that prioritize skills and competencies. Our dedication to gender equality extends beyond recruitment, as we aim to provide equal opportunities for career advancement through transparent promotion systems and leadership development programs.
3. Supporting Diverse Nationalities and Cultures
Geomotiv boasts a richly diverse workforce, with employees representing 13 nations, including Portugal, Poland, Czech Republic, France, Moldova, United Arab Emirates, Armenia, Belarus, Russia, Georgia, Ukraine, Kyrgyzstan, and Kazakhstan. This cultural diversity enhances our innovation and strengthens our ability to serve a global customer base. We view diversity as a key asset and are dedicated to ensuring that employees from all cultural backgrounds feel both included and respected.
To support this commitment, Geomotiv actively promotes cultural awareness and sensitivity within the company. We offer cultural sensitivity and awareness training programs designed to help employees understand the importance of embracing cultural differences, minimizing unconscious bias, and fostering a collaborative work environment. These programs provide valuable insights into the diverse perspectives of our team members, which is essential in a global workforce. In addition, we celebrate diversity by acknowledging cultural holidays and events, honoring the unique contributions of individuals from various national and cultural backgrounds. This includes observing globally significant dates such as Black History Month, Pride Month, International Women’s Day, and Asian Pacific American Heritage Month.
4. Inclusion of People with Disabilities
Although we do not maintain formal statistics on employees with disabilities, Geomotiv is deeply committed to fostering an inclusive and welcoming environment for individuals with disabilities. As part of our company policy, we actively encourage applications from people with disabilities and are dedicated to providing the necessary support and accommodations to ensure their success. Our goal is to create a workplace that is both accessible and conducive to productivity for all employees, including those with disabilities. This involves making reasonable accommodations, such as adjusting workstations, offering flexible work schedules, and ensuring that our buildings and technology are accessible to everyone.
We are also committed to continually assessing and improving our workplace accessibility policies to meet the evolving needs of all employees. In the coming years, Geomotiv plans to formalize its commitment to disability inclusion by regularly reviewing our hiring processes to ensure full accessibility. This will include offering alternative application options for candidates with disabilities and implementing bias-free interviewing techniques. Additionally, we are dedicated to building a supportive and understanding culture through regular disability awareness training for all employees, reinforcing our ongoing commitment to inclusion.
5. Equal pay for equal work
At Geomotiv, we firmly believe in equal pay for equal work, regardless of gender. We are proud to report that there is no pay gap between men and women with equivalent experience performing the same roles within our organization. This commitment to pay equity ensures that all employees are fairly compensated for their contributions in a workplace that values and motivates everyone. To maintain this standard, we regularly conduct audits to identify and address any potential pay discrepancies. Transparency is key to our approach, and we ensure that all employees are aware of the pay scale for their roles, giving them confidence that they are being compensated fairly.
6. Leadership Diversity
At Geomotiv, we prioritize leadership diversity, recognizing that diverse leadership teams are better equipped to foster innovation and make well-rounded decisions. Our gender-balanced leadership team is a testament to our commitment to gender diversity at the highest levels of the organization. However, our focus on diversity extends beyond gender—we aim to ensure that our leadership reflects the broad cultural and national backgrounds of our global workforce. We believe that a leadership team mirroring the diversity of our employees allows us to better understand and address the needs of our clients worldwide. To support this goal, we offer leadership development programs designed to advance the careers of underrepresented groups, including women and individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds.
7. Age Diversity
At Geomotiv, our workforce spans a wide range of age groups, creating a multi-generational culture that fosters collaboration and continuous learning. We have 82 employees between the ages of 25 and 34, 60 employees between 35 and 44, and smaller groups in other age brackets, including six employees aged 18 to 24 and ten employees between 45 and 54. We believe that age diversity plays a crucial role in creating a dynamic and innovative work environment, where individuals of all ages bring unique perspectives and experiences to the table.
To support employees at every stage of their careers, we offer tailored programs that nurture growth and development. For younger employees, we provide mentoring programs to help them enhance their skills and navigate their career paths. For older employees, we offer flexible work arrangements and retirement planning services, ensuring they receive the necessary support to plan for the future while continuing to contribute meaningfully to our company’s success.
8. Anti-Discrimination and Anti-Harassment Policy
Geomotiv maintains a strict zero-tolerance policy towards discrimination and harassment in any form. Discrimination based on race, gender, age, disability, religion, nationality, or sexual orientation is unequivocally prohibited, and any violations of this policy are addressed swiftly and effectively. Our anti-harassment policy ensures that all employees are treated with respect and can work in a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment.
To uphold this standard, we provide regular anti-discrimination and anti-harassment training for all employees. This training educates our team on recognizing and addressing discrimination and harassment, outlining the steps they should take if they witness or experience such behaviors. We actively encourage employees to report any incidents, and the company ensures that all complaints are thoroughly investigated and resolved fairly and promptly.
