The client is a large company providing financial management and education services and products. The customer is represented in 5 countries worldwide with headquarters in New York. The organization is one of the leading service providers in the market.
The goal was to create a comprehensive solution for the client’s vast affiliate network that could address multiple challenges at the same time, such as financial accounting, staff insurance, HR, and education management. The main requirement was education sector orientation, as it was the main partners’ specialization. The client wanted to develop a customizable product for data processing and storage, while not implementing complex Big Data technologies as it could be too difficult for local management to work with that software.
After procuring business requirements, we concluded to divide the project into 7 modules and develop them one by one. In general, those modules covered HR, finance, student education, and overall management sectors.
We decided upon building an Intranet website customizable for every particular educational center or school that could be hosted by the local district. The solution structure provided many valuable features, such as Message Center, Absence Request/Approval, Pay History, and timesheet data entry. Thus the schools could reduce the number of inquiries to the HR and payroll departments.
We chose .NET as a generic platform for the project based on the functionality it provided together with its frameworks. It implied using C# as one of the leading technologies and JavaScript for the front-end part. We used MS SQL for data management as the client didn’t want to apply Big Data technologies.
The client provided their affiliates with the delivered solution and thus enhanced the existing cooperation. What was more, the client could improve sales by 15% and retain the leading market position. After the system development, we continued our partnership with the client and provided two more solutions.
